Senior Project Manager ERP & Manufacturing Systems (Freelance)

Assignment:

Royal Swinkels is on the eve of the final phase of the Holland Malt transformation. Within this rollout, ERP, production, laboratory, and logistics processes are being integrated within a single end-to-end landscape. To complete this implementation, we are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Project Manager to oversee the business-critical applications and the preparations for go-live, hypercare, and handover to the management organization. 

The assignment focuses on the successful realization of the Holland Malt rollout, where SAP S/4HANA, MES, LIMS, and integration platforms are managed as a single cohesive chain. We are currently in the testing phase. The project is on track, and the go-live is scheduled for November 1st. This assignment will last until the end of the year.

Goal of the assignment:

Responsible for the overall management of the Holland Malt implementation, including:

• SAP S/4HANA

• OpCenter

• Interfaces with TrakSYS (sperate project manager)

• Mendix

• Interfaces with Transporeon (sperate project manager)

• LIMS

• Master Data Management

• Integrations between IT and OT systems 

• Test management (together with test manager)

• Technical Cut-over (together with application managers)

• Align business cutover (separate project manager)

• Deploy & Go-Live

• Hypercare and transfer to Operations

The project manager monitors planning, budget, quality, scope, resources, and decision-making, and acts as the central point of contact for business, IT, suppliers, and the steering committee.

Activities:

Project and program management:

• Daily management of the Holland Malt rollout.

• Monitoring planning, budget, quality, and scope.

• Drafting and presenting management information to management and the steering committee.

• Organizing project boards, risk meetings, and decision-making.

• Monitoring dependencies between business, IT, and external suppliers.

ERP & Business Process Delivery:

Responsible for the progress of the SAP processes:

• Source to Pay

• Record to Report

• Sales Deliver Bill

• Maintenance

• Hire to Retire

• SAP Basis

• IAM

• Master Data (Migration)

Coordinating functional and technical implementation activities within these domains.

Manufacturing & Plant Systems:

Integrated management of the following applications and suppliers:

• OpCenter

• TrakSYS

• Mendix

• Transporeon

• LIMS

Inclusive:

• planning

• releases

• tests

• defect management

• integrations

• readiness for production

Master Data & Integrations:

• Responsible for executing the master data governance and migration plan.

• Monitoring data quality and data loads.

• Controlling interfaces between:

  • JUICE

  • OpCenter

  • TrakSYS

  • Mendix

  • Transporeon

  • LIMS

  • other OT and IT solutions

Test management:

• Coordinating:

  •  ITC

  • UAT

  • regression tests

  • shadow runs

  • Hypercare

• Monitoring defect backlog and priorities.

• Escalating blockages towards the project board and steering committee.

Cut-over & Go-Live:

Responsible for a tight plan for:

• master data loads

• transactional data loads

• technical cut-over

• business cut-over

• go-live readiness

• go/no-go decision making

Coordinating all activities necessary for a controlled transition to production.

Hypercare & Adoption:

• Organizing and managing hypercare.

• Monitoring KPIs after go-live.

• Coordinating issue management.

• Transfer to the line organization and support teams.

• Supporting change management and adoption activities.

Stakeholder management:

The project manager operates at all levels within the organization and maintains contact with:

• MT

• Steering Committee

• Business Process Owners

• Plant management

• Information Technology

• Operational Technology

• Deloitte and other implementation partners

• Suppliers of SAP, MES, LIMS, and integration solutions

The project manager translates complex technical topics into clear management decisions.
